Cheapest way to fix broken head unit?
I just got a ‘15 M235 and head unit is bad. Sound works only through radio and AUX. Bluetooth works only for calls. And Navigation doesn’t load at all. When car turns on, I hear cracking sound from CD Player. I am told the car had exact same problem back in 2017 and dealership replaced the head unit under warranty.
New dealership head units are $1200+. Used are cheap, but I was told by 2 mechanics that it will cost about $5-700 to reprogram a used one to work properly. What other options do I have? |

Once you have the head unit on hand, you can have us remotely carry out the programming and everything will be as good as factory. If your vehicle was manufactured after March however, it would be on NBT EVO (ID4) and these head units are a bit more difficult to source due to the rather short production run of just 1 year.
