Split Screen Issue
Ahoy,
2014 M235i virtually fully-loaded...which I've LOVED for almost a year now. Have had the (larger) nav system running in split screen with the left side usually displaying either a map or the entertainment source. The right side of the split screen I've had set to show BMW Online Apps with "Digital Clock & Weather". About a week ago the entire right side had a "No data found" message and was otherwise blank. Then a few day's later it was replaced with an analog clock...regardless of whether I chose to display "Weather" or "Digital clock with Weather". I did some poking around and found this: http://www.babybmw.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=71842 I hope they get this remedied, as I really like the clock/weather display. Thought I'd share this here in case others were seeing similar. Ciao! |

Same here. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the upcoming Connected Drive Store and the the 3G. Just a thought.

Yea maybe...funny thing. When I go thru connect drive on the master screen I get the current weather, I just can't get it in the split screen to the right. I can have the 3 day forecast on the main screen in either large or split but all I can get on the right side split is that damn analog clock. Even tried it with my iphone plugged in....

Same here, lost it about a week ago. And I've checked with others, they lost it too. Just the clock now
Saw this on BabyBMW though: Spoke to BMW Connected Drive this AM, there is a fault with the weather widget (oo-er missus!) and it was affecting some i-drive models. As a short term solution they have done a service update to remove the weather app and replace with a beautiful analogue clock. It's expected to update again in the next 7 - 10 days and bring the weather widget back via another OTA update.

Same issue here in Canada. I always used it for the weather, great feature. Screw the clock i don't need that. I just switched back to full screen.
I have had pretty bad luck with my connected drive. My auto time zone stopped working for 6 months to the point where it wouldn't let me select mountain time, always went back to California... And when i did drive to a different time zone. For 2 weeks of driving in the new zone it didn't switch over. I have it on manual now... |

Can confirm BMW is having issues with the service that provides weather to our cars. It's been down for about 5 days now and should be back up within a week or so. Your car will automatically start displaying the weather widget again if you leave it on the analog clock, no update needed.
