Technic ASD install - 2021 M240 - additional info

Zooks527 wrote up an excellent installation guide called
Installing TechnicPnP Active Sound removal harness at

https://www.2addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1202389

Having done this yesterday on my 2021 M240i Convertible I noticed a few things that took some extra time that I hadn't seen before so I decided to take a few pictures for those with a similar setup.

1. For those that have a rear seat fold down (like I did), it is two T-20 screws holding that in place. That wire will just hang down when you remove the panel. I thought I could remove the trim panel with it attached but you cannot.

2. The quick disconnect shown in the prior instructions for the power port in the trunk was different so I disconnected it from the back. Attached are the two pictures.

3. As mentioned on another post in that thread (that I did find) - on the current ASD units with the M240i you do NOT need to swap out connectors: "The cable comes almost ready to install, but it is necessary to swap the locking connector on the cable with the one in the car. It's a trivial piece of work, and I assume it's because the BMW OEM style lock is not available. "
I don't know if the cable changed or the connector changed but mine was absolutely plug and play.

Overall it took about 90 minutes to do the whole thing. If I was doing it again, I bet it would be 30 minutes. If anyone's in Denver wanting to do this I'd be happy to help.
