Question about ASD and noise cancellation ?

Hi everyone, I can't find that information anywhere. Is there a noise cancellation component in the ASD feature ? I coded the ASD off and I like it better this way but I was wondering if I maybe lost some noise cancellation ?

Is there such a thing in the 2 series ?

thanks

As far as I know there is no noise cancellation in the F22/23.

Confirming MarcoZandrinis input - there is no noise cancellation in the ASD module for F22/23.

Is there any advantage to using the harness to delete asd vs coding it off?

Using the harness is a complete hardware disconnect. It's gone and ASD can't have any input into the system.

Some people state that when using just coding, there can be a background hiss. Seems to affect earlier models more than late, based on forum comments.

You may want to try the coding if you already have Bimmercode or something like that to try it first, as that is essentially free.

My car has an Audiotech Fischer MATCH amp. I used the manufacturer's software to reduce the center channel output to 0.

Unrelated, but I don't get why one would keep ASD off. At least, with the stock exhaust. It's just no fun; you can't hear anything unless you're at redline. It's especially problematic for a 6-speed; I can't hear the engine well enough to revmatch downshifts.

For me it was the fake droning sound that came with sport mode. What an idiotic thing to add...
