Am I going.......

...crazy? I was driving on local road at 50mph. I decided to set the cruise control at 50mph. I had to downshift as traffic was slowing, and as soon as I released the clutch the cruise control kicked back in at 50mph!!!! I disabled it. What's going on?

Gear changes maintain the cruise control setting, only braking or the steering wheel switch will disconnect it. Good on the highway after downshifting to pass someone rapidly, then continue on cruise afterwards without needing to hit "Resume".

Yep, this is normal, it stays on for upshifts too (in 5th, turn on cc, upshift to 6th). It'll cut out so you can smoothly make the shift, and then come back on a little after.

Ahhhh! So I’m not crazy. Ok. I didn’t know that the DME re-engages the cc when the clutch is released. Thanks for the info!
