Code 102001 MAF issue?

A few weeks ago I installed a vrsf catless downpipe, charge pipe, and a intercooler.

Car was running pretty well until yesterday, it started throwing code 102001 "Air mass, plausibility -- Tuner code, ignore" and the feel of the car was drastically different. I've cleaned the MAF twice and checked the connections on the intake, they seem fine.

Do I need a new MAF? Is there a way to know if mine is screwed up? or could I have leaks somewhere else that's making the car throw code?

Do you have an aftermarket intake? If so, I'd start there and remove it to see if it clears.

I do. So you're saying put the stock one back on and see if that helps? Okay, will do, and will report back, thank you.

Any other suggestions?

sell what you bought and buy the dinan if you need an intake.

I know dudes with 550whp + 2's with stock intake and a drop in filter.
So go back to stock if you have to.

Yes, put the OEM back on. BMW's don't take well to most aftermarket intakes.

Yea, back when i used to run the BMS intake, I got a code (code can be cleared via custom tune, Enzo Racing did mine and it cleared the code) But the code was from the intake, now i am on the stock airbox with a BMC filter no problems at all.

I went back to the stock intake and I'm still throwing the code. What now?!

Put your stock airbox back on, clear the code, see if it comes back. If it does, could be a dirty or faulted MAF sensor.

102001 air mass to high, I literally just had the same code show up through bootmod3 yesterday. The car was doing some very weird things like jerking during light acceleration and then cutting out at a stop street going into neutral. It turned out to be an incorrect fitment of my charge pipe it was not seated onto the cooler correctly. after we sorted that out the car is perfect and the code has not come back.

Hello mate,
I’ve just seen this post because I’ve got the same issue as you,
What exactly did you do to fix the problem, the garage that fitted it said it’s fine but will double check everything, I’m just wondering what the exact problem was and how to fix it so I can pass it on to the garage,
Thanks

I’m also seeing this issue after installing bootmod3, car would jerk randomly and getting two error codes 102001 and 10BA49 any solutions?

What did u do for the solution, I’m currently having the same issue that someone else had above where the car stalled at a stop and I had a code 102001 I put the stock air box back on thinking it was my Cts intake but it wasn’t. Should I do a smoke test to check for boost leaks I have a vrsf cp and IC.

You guys have intake leaks somewhere. My guess is at the charge pipe rubber section that joins the two pipes or the charge pipe connection at the intercooler.

Do all of you have VRSF charge pipes?

Unfortunately, I don't have a charge pipe yet, I just got the car on bootmod3, I believe you are right and will take a look at it this weekend.

Not yet. I might try to do a smoke test to know exactly where because by just looking at it I can’t tell where exactly on the charge pipe am I having the boost leak.

I found my issue, turns out the C clamp between my throttle body and stock charge pipe blew off, luckily the C clamp is still there but the stock charge pipe is done, I'll need a new charge pipe.

Yeah I found mine too with a smoke test. Turns out one of the bungs for meth on my charge pipe blew off somehow so I had some screws with thread locker on it now and it runs fine.
