Ah I was just overly excited to get a 2 that I ended up settling for less, big thing is the sport bumper and rear end, the regular one just doesn't look as good and the regular reflector lights hurt it for me but still, I'm hoping to get to a better point with it where I'm feeling a bit better about going to C&C and meets with mine.

M240/235? Pretty rare... Maybe a couple times a month.
228s I see often enough.

Well I thought I had seen one. Driving down a 4 lane highway in North Alabama today in my 2021 Estoril blue, Convertible with Cognac seats I spy a BMW behind me. Its blue and looks a bit like a 2, as it gets closer I see it is also a convertible and it is Estoril Blue. Gets a bit closer and it has Cognac seats! The young lady driving is whoopin' and a holerin' ( I did say North Alabama). When she passes me I go oh darn its a 435i and not a 2. The only thing that would have made it better is if she was listening to Hair Nation on SirusXm.

I saw one in Lone Tree, CO about a year ago, before I left for Oregon. A 230i, n Sunset Orange, driven by a cute blonde woman. She gave me a thumbs up, I did the same. I see one about twice a year. I haven't seen any in Oregon.

Quite a few here in the Tampa Bay area. I can go a month and not see one, then in the next week I will see several. I would say I see two a month at least.

Yo!
I saw a gorgeous M240i today in Lafayette. We chatted at the stop light. Laguna Seca Blue wrap with DInan springs and a straight turbo back. He also had Black Apex Racing wheels. The car looked proper. Loud AF! Another guy pulled up to me and was like "whats up wiuth that guys car???" haha. I have not seen this car on this forum, but I wish it was as I;d love to see more pics of it. I also found a white M235i that works right up the street from me. Looks like he is on H&R's and has a muffler delete, ans some nice inexpensice staggered 18's on it. Looks really good as well..... josh |

See a bunch in the Tampa area. There's a 240 vert and 230 vert in my building that I see everyday.

Went out for several errands yesterday in SoCal. LOTS of other BMWs but no other 2s.
I did see a brand new, paper plated 911 Turbo Cab in that beautiful flat grey color, but I guess that’s besides the point. Had a lustful few minute stare at that one. Last edited by zstokes; 04-19-2021 at 09:58 AM.. |

Fast forward to now 3 years later, I finally trade it in for a m240i vert and man what a world of difference. I can finally honestly tell myself I love my car. Moral of the story is you gotta think carefully and weight the pros and cons of trying to make your car more likeable vs just taking the loss and switch and get what you want. By the time you sink money down to it, it will be too late. For the record, It end up costing me about 18k for me to own that is 250 over 3 years. That is slightly more than half of what it cost me to get the m240i. |

I see a lot of 3- and 5-series, and several Mercedes convertible coupes. I actually saw a white M240i get on the highway in front of me today. So I ran him off the road, naturally.
There can be only one. |

In all seriousness, there are a few F23 228/230 in my neighborhood; but it does seem rare to find a M240 on the road and much less for a M235. |

I live in Arcadia (north east of L.A.) and all I've seen are 2 white M2's and one blue M2 in about a year. I drive by a white 1 series parked on the street on my way to work but never seen an M1. Loads of 3's 4's 5's and X series. I regularly see more Aventadors, Urus, LaFerrari, AMG GT and supercars than any 2's.

I don't see many 2's on the road that often, but the last AutoX I went to we had 5 for my smaller region (and a 1-series). Total turnout was 59, so ~8.5% of the field.

Haha.
I now see 2ers everywhere. A couple M2's Two verts, the Alpine white looked *good*. A couple M240i A 228i with M sport pkg just today in Orinda. Great to see other 2's on the road.... josh |

I was startled to see a non-M2 2 Series today. I wasn't close enough to see the badge. It was sort of a tomato/ketchup color - not one that I recognized at all.
It's the 2nd non-M2 2 Series I've seen in the past 3.5 years. I've seen two or maybe three different M2s during the same time. SUVs dominate here, followed by the 3 Series.

There are maybe half a dozen 2-ers in my neighborhood, half of them verts, rarely an M2. A few more exotic beasts, 6-series and the occasional i-8. Basic north shore of Long Island distribution.
