How to Deal with a Dealer Question
I bought my ‘15 228i (F23) from BMW Morristown. Before coming to see the car, I asked the sales associate to email me all the equipment included with the car. He did and listed was the convertible wind deflector. I bought the car, took it home and realized the wind deflector was not in the trunk. I called and told him the same day and he said he’d look into it. I’ve been trading emails, texts, and calls with him for a month.
Sent an email to the General Manager and went to the dealership on Wednesday to pick up my plates and registration. I asked to see the GM and was told he was in a meeting and if I didn’t mind waiting, he’d be able to see me afterwards. After about 40 min was told that he was going to be a while, wasn’t going to be able to see me and that he would call me. I confirmed my contact info (also included in my email) with the girl at the front desk and let her know that I really hope he calls me as the SA kept saying he’d call me back “in an hour” or “tomorrow” and never did. No call. No response to my email. Nothing. Am I just out of luck and have little to no chance of getting the wind deflector because I took possession of the vehicle without it? I’m of the thinking that it’s part of the car - I paid for it and am owed the missing part. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Should I just light up all social media, web site reviews and call them out as crooks? I don’t want to have to resort to that, but I’ve lost patience. |

you paid for something you did not receive, theft.
I'm sure they would be than happy to assist, if not sit down at the dealer and call the police.
