Front airblade grill cover thingies...

Anyone know where I can get these in gloss black? These are the only ones I can find and they're £200 when they're in stock!
I was considering wrapping them but imagine it would be a nightmare?!

I think they're called canards and I wondered if you'd considered the option of replacing the whole grille with a US-style one that doesn't have them? I think they're just decorative anyway and to my mind the grilles would look more M2-like and aggressive without them.

I've also photoshopped my canards in body colour vs black, and I have to say that I think they look better in body colour. If I can ever be bothered, I'll buy the appropriate primer/colour cans and spray them in my Estoril Blue:

You'll note that in the re-cloured photo' above I've also Photoshop'd the faux chrome grille surround in EB as well. I'm more on the fence as to whether this looks right, but it'd certainly be pretty unique. Everyone thinks of gloss black or carbon fibre but again, I think the body colour is also an option. Shame it's such a faff to remove the canards and grille.

If you know someone who can do a bit of Photoshop editing (it wasn't particularly challenging) it might be worth taking some photos and seeing if you're going to get the effect you want before spending the money.

I've also Photoshop'd the bodywork around the windscreen in black. When the black hood is up it definitely looks better and even when it's down it harmonises with the wing mirrors. But obviously, that would need a re-spray and would be a much more expensive exercise. It'd also be something that might affect the resale value if a buyer felt differently.

You might try getting the windscreen surround wrapped in black. Cheaper and easier than a re spray. I would like to see your rendering in photoshop on that.

Mask & paint them gloss black of your choice with an aerosol meant for plastic, or even go the Plasti Dip route in case you change your mind later.
Good luck!

So I decided to go with spraying them, hardest part was getting the grills out after they'd been in place for 6 years, fortunately BMW make part of it out of the softest plastic known to man so only those bits broke...

Oh, and I've learnt the art of patience, after having to respray over my finger prints several times...not the biggest difference in the world but goes better with the grill and mirrors!
