Brand New: M Front Control Arm Conversion set and Turner Monoball Thrust Arm set

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
I bought these direct from Turner Motorsports about 6 months back, but my M235i's motor took a crap shortly after and I ended up selling the car before I could install these.

SOLD Brand New Genuine BMW M Front Control Arm set - basically adds -0.5 degree camber and comes with slightly stiffer bushings. These are OEM F80 M3 / F82 M4 parts with the hardware to install on the 2-series, including the ride height sensor arm thing. I paid $450, asking $350 OBO

I've heard a lot about the control arm conversion. How much real-world benefit does it seem to provide, understanding you never got to try them on the car? Is installation difficult, i.e. could I put the car on jacks and do it in my driveway with the help of a friend?

The main benefit of the conversion is the extra -0.5 degrees camber, which is a must have if you lower the front with springs, it'll bring the camber back to normal. If your control arm bushings haven't been changed in a while then you'll notice more responsive steering and less "mushy" feel in cornering transitions.

As for installing, you should have no problem with 4 jacks stands, a jack, PB blaster, and a breaker bar. You might want a small torch to heat up the bolts if they're really stuck on there.
