Seat fold handles

I have a new to me 2017 F23 that is in remarkable shape. The paint, leather and vinyl are all in very good condition. The fact that it has only 25K on the clock has a lot to do with that.

My question is this. The handles that you lift to fold the front seat forward are the only thing that is really faded/oxidized. I've used a Back to Black product and after several applications they are darker, but still not black. They are also beginning to lighten after only a couple of weeks.

Any suggestions on how I can restore them and keep them looking good?

Short-term fix might be to mask them & spray with Plasti Dip. SEM Color Coat in Landau Black will probably last longer if you prep well.

a drop or two of tire silicone. buff it to a dull shine. last for months and seems to repell further staining.

Mine were disgusting. Shocked this is the only post I could find about them. I think because I'm also F23 and the sun from top down is what does the damage just to the handle.

I just put on some "Cerakote Ceramic Trim Coat" which is clear but made my handles look black again and leaves a coating to protect in the future. So far after an hour they look great, if they fade again will report back.

Before and after:

Mine look atrocious, too. I am going to be trying some Chemical Guys VRP tomorrow and will report back.
