Caliper bolts

How can any bolt be so tight - rear caliper bolts? It's not rusted, just too damn tight. Any ideas?

PB Blaster soaked in.

Extension is usually the best bet. Try not to use a flex head.

Good quality socket with maximum surface contact.

Get replacement bolts for putting back together.

I believe they were coated with the silver coloured equivalent to Loctite Red. Getting them back on was easy - 49 foot-pounds.

Scott: I got them off one click at a time, with the Snap On socket wrench 16 mm., and an old tubular spark plug wrench as an extension. I used my arms and legs to move it little by little. Now I'm waiting for the bruises to heal. The rotors are from Brazil - Fremax.
