  • Plug and play piggyback style system
  • Horsepower in half an hour
  • Sophisticated multi-channel controller
  • Switch back to stock mode in seconds
  • Perfect power with OE grade driveability

Why go piggyback when flash tunes are available now?

Why not? If on warranty piggybacks are easy to remove and dont leave a flashcounter on the ECU.

I´d go piggyback over flashing ECU anytime.

I believe that BM3 reverts the flash counter. I'll have to dig that back up. You can go back to stock maps though which honestly is useless without restoring the counter value. Regardless, if something goes wrong and causes a warranty issue the dealer can figure out if there was a piggyback. Nothing is foolproof.

The only safe course of action is no action as far as tunes go. That said, I've been running either a piggyback or a flash for at least a year and a half with no issues at all. The flash is superior to the piggyback in my experience. I was running an AA8 piggyback back and I'm now on a BM3 stage 1 tune. BM3 is much smoother in power delivery.

I am looking at JB4 vs ESS E-flash stg.1 and JB4 seems easier to remove as if you crash the car you cant reflash but you can remove the harness and piggybox. Thats cause insurance will not cover a modded car.

But yeah, if it reverts the flashcounter its very much safer then just luring standard sensors. As long as you trust the guy who made the map.

Like always, safest route is standard. And, not even that is so safe as I learned.
