Has anyone changed out the Dinan tips on their axle back? I know it requires welding.. my local muffler guy says it can be done ezily, but hearing from other sources it will likely not be aligned.

Are you looking to swap black for silver or vice versa? I went down this path w Dinan they can't sell you just the tips.

Best bet would be to have shop add whatever diameter pipe BMW uses then you have your choice of BMW tips.

Yup, trying to swap black for silver. They told me the tip part #'s that they can sell separately. It's not bad.

2x D663-0196 - Tip - $36.00 each
2x D662-0295 - Tip adaptor - $8.50 each

Interesting. When I checked a few months back they wouldn't sell me the tips. Good to know.

So you didn't get the Dinan exhaust? or you did some other modification?

No I was looking at two preowned exhausts MPE w/ stainless tips then Dinan w/ black tips. Since I was told not easy to change went w MPE.

Black tips would have looked silly on our luxury line wagon.
