Forum viewing settings

New to this forum but not forums in general. On all the others if I view a thread and more replies are added it takes me to where I left off. In this forum it always takes me back to the first post. Is there a setting that will take me to where I left off instead of the first post? TIA.

Upper left corner, above the date is "view first unread post".
Click that.
