repairing scratches in Aluminum Hex interior trim?
hi!:
Has anyone had any luck repairing scratches to the coating on the aluminum hex trim? It seems like there is some kind of lacquer coating that is not perfectly clear, but has a tiny bit of gray tint. I've been toying with the idea of adding a little black to some clear model enamel, for touching up scratches, but was looking for input in case someone had a better idea! Dave |

The aluminum trim is the worst. I have scrapes and scratches everywhere. Never again

The alu black cube trim in the E46 ZHP also shows scratches readily. Some have sprayed a light coat of trim black paint to fill the scratches. Perhaps a clear spray could help this alu hex trim. You could always remove the clear with some thinner if it didn't look better.
