will a 40 series tire fit 228i without rubbing?
I'm currently running OEM 18" wheels (8" I believe) with 245/35 Michelin 4S tires. 12mm spacer in front. About -3 front camber
New wheels are Apex Arc-8 (8.5") et45 with 5mm spacers in front - have not mounted these yet. There are only a very few track oriented tires in the 245/35. 40 series tires offer a lot more choices but will they fit? It looks close. The 4S is 24.8" in diameter in 35's and most 40's are about 1" bigger in diameter. Any experience running 245/40 on the 228i's? will they rub? I'd prefer to have a pretty good idea before I buy them. Thanks!

I’m running 18x8.5 Apex ARC - 8 et38 with Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ 235/40/18 square
-2 camber, no rubbing at all. I ran them at a track day and even full compression didn’t bring rubbing. I’m planning on replacing this set with the same tire in 245/40 next year.
