M240i Max gains on 93oct/98ron and stock turbo

Hello, what your maximum gains on stock turbo with 93oct/98ron fuel?
I want to get a custom tune to my daily m240i but i dont want to change turbo,
Its worth to change the intake and install b58tu hpfp?
I was thinking to get a downpipe+hpfp b58tu+mst intake and custom tune.
Can i reach 500hp?
M240i b58.

I think a couple guys have gotten around 500 WHP on the stock turbo but using an E85 blend. Maybe 450-ish WHP on non ethanol gas? I would recommend a new HPFP, downpipe, and in my opinion I would leave the stock airbox in with a new drop in filter. I had the MST intake for a few hundred miles and all it did was make more noise and I experienced higher intake air temps.

500 HP Wheel vs Crank is different, regardless, you should try using the search function.

There are tons of dynos shared from cars with multiple stages.

intake is mostly useless and a custom tune if you're not replacing the turbo wont be a good use of your money either. Put it towards a set of Michelin PS4's if you dont already have some. Or save it for future fuel injectors.

Bm3 Stage 2+

Hi mate,

I am currently running Bm3 stage 2+ 93 with 100cell DP and drop in panel filter, spark plugs gapped, de res, xhp stage 3, TU Pump, Stock turbo. On my M240i. (UK)

I chuck in 4lt of E per full tank of esso99 on stock turbo and im making 470hp crank, 480ft lb (650nm), calculated from rpm and torque in bm3 logs. The 4lt of Ethanol really cleaned up my logs.

I have yet to try their stage 2+ E30 maybe hit the 500/510 crank but im unsure weather or not i want to push it that much. im not sure if Boost target is the same and just more timing advance or a bit of both.

correction* I believe 430-450whp on 94 Stg 2 + and 470-500WHP+ on E40+

11.4 on pump with passenger 3.4 0-100. Didn't get a draggy on E. MHD Maps. XHP Stage 3.

I was very tired lol.

In the same boat similarity with my ‘17 6mt 240, I am already fully stage 2+ with proper mods/maintenance. Is there generally much more power to be gained off the custom tune improvements of the car? Or is it better off to stay with the ots stage 2+ as it wouldn’t be a major improvement (power wise) but the price of the custom tune wouldn’t be worth it. Would prefer to stay on pump, but I run flex fuel on my f80 and wouldn’t be opposed to it on my f22 especially seeing the limits on pump.

do you see any value in trying to get more out of stock turbos with a custom tune? I really have no issues w stage 2+ ots but you can’t blame someone for wanting more power always.

I'm in the same boat.. there is room there for sure. The value is in how kuch is it gonna cost for a custom tune. The only tuners I use charge over $1000 so I'm not sure there is much value in it for me.

Do you have an opinion on getting a custom tune to help out with smoothing out the torque curve? My experience with my MHD OTS maps is that I feel like there is too much torque on the low end to mid end, and creates an imbalanced driving experience. I know that is part of having a turbo car vs na but just wondering if some custom tuners can make the power delivery a little more civilized.

Any tuner can detune the low end etc by playing with the load demand curve etc.. but are you talking for wot or just regular driving?

Spirited driving and WOT. Seems silly to pay someone to take away power but there are times where the torque gets in the way of fun.
