What would you do with $1000 to spend on your 240

Not a dollar more.

And in California (without breaking the law).
No more than 2 hours of labor required, if you do it yourself.
No lift, no advanced tool or skill sets.

Tires don't count.

What I'm going to do with $1K is buy gasoline for a road trip to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower, Yellowstone, Glacier, Seattle, Carmel-by-the-Sea, and NW Arkansas.

Just realized my car still has '17 stamped PSSs and the rears won't survive the summer.

Probably a stage 1 tune and better brake pads.

M Performance trunk lip and front splitter. Those are 2 of the 3 things next on my list. M Perf LSD is the other thing but breaks this budget.

P3 vent gauge I suppose.

Already installed the Technic PnP ASD bypass harness and SmartTop module (F23). Have Torque Pro with a usb OBD2 adapter.
Everything else is over $1k (PPF, Ceramic coating, LSD)

Pretty broad question but what are YOU looking for? Aesthetics, power mod, functionality, car tint/ coil overs/ etc.. ) ?

Aftermarket is huge for your car so we need some help from you to be able to help you

Kind of you to ask, MLJR

I'm open to anything. Already done some:
• Important -- LSD
and
• Unnecessary -- interior trim pieces

Car has tint and carbon (mirror caps and spoiler).
Also has some rock chips ... so maybe a pro touch up. But I keep forgetting about them and who would notice.

Tunes are probably out (I think California made them illegal).
Plus, I can spin the PS4S at will right now, so I don't see the point.
$3K worth of new wheels and wider tires probably isn't my thing (or in the specified budget).
A diffuser (I like RW Carbon 3D) and winged mirror caps, maybe ... might not work for my specific $/heart x mind equation.

So ... just genuinely curious what other people might do.

Drive the d@mn car always seems most appealing.

How are you getting along with the sound system? Whether it's exhaust or music? Not sure how California treats after cats...

A Radar detector - it's legal in CA I believe. Depending on your driving it could recoup your investment. What's not to like .

Done all my brakes, fluid and lines.

Did my downpipe, less than 2 hours but I did a lift rental, doable with jack but..

Maybe dinan spring but dont think its doable in 2 hours.

Thrust arm upgrade, I think need alignment after.

For under $1000 and no special tools, maybe diffuser for me

You can get a very good radar detector for around 300 dollars, definitely agree it's worth the investment though.

Truly, I very much appreciate law enforcement and like to offer an appreciative hand gesture when they're parked along the roadside. I feel they appreciate this more than financial donations.

Therefore a radar detector sounds like a good idea.

I'd do some track driver training: not racing stuff, but road-oriented, high-performance car training. If I was in a wet weather state, I'd include a wet track training course like this one I did locally (~$140 for an hour's 1:1 tuition in their car). By the end, we were doing reverse J-turns and handling the car confidently in full, 'all nannies off' mode.

Amen to that, light set of wheels will improve economy, but improve handling and boost WHP and WTQ performance.

Is that true?
Does saving 15 pounds of rotating mass really do anything when I’m pushing around 3600 pounds?

Not saying it doesn’t.
Just stating the reason for my incredulity.
Also asking for some real world numbers that would make the case.
And, if those stats exist, some wheel recommendations to turn them into reality for me.
