Hello.

I’ve recently had a car that was misfiring and done all the basics checks and it came as no compression cylinder 1 so garage took the engine out and it turned out to be cracked piston. But now garage is saying that due to the tune/overboosting that’s what caused it.

So am just wondering if it’s known thing on n20 220i to happen or was I just unlucky with the piston and could still in future tune it again. As his putting the car back to stock to guarantee the work his done

If anyone knows anything regarding this failure of piston would be much appreciated as want to just stage 1 it but obviously don’t want to do it again if it will crack it again
