8.8 screen upgrade

I tried to upgrade my 6.5 screen from my 2017 230i entry level to the 8.8 inch screen but I got the “No signal” message.

Looking around I found that my screen 9387547 is too new for my car.

Can someone confirm is the screen 9292248 would work?

Code was done for the new screen but had to change it back since it didn’t work out

I've tried it with a screen from an auto wrecker, without doing enough research. Non-nav cars are stuck with 6.5" factory screen unless you upgrade the whole system or go aftermarket. I have HU_ENTRY, it sounds like you do too.

Thanks for the clarification. So, swapping the NBT is the way to go. What models should I look for?

Found this: https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/n...-guide.914613/

Looks doable if you're determined enough.

In doing a bit of research I saw that the 6.5 inch screen is labeled "L7 CID Entry 6.5". With that logic, could the 8.8 inch L7 CID screen be a plug and play?

Doesn't matter what system you have! You need to change screen size in head unit ecu.
Use bimmercode to code it!

quoted from a post on page 5 I think
I can confirm the LCI F30 screen 9387453 works on a 2017 M240i!

Great update from the base 6.5'' screen

Screen swap

I'm looking to upgrade my screen and The 3 series screen seems to be much cheaper than the 2 series one - does anyone know how much worse the fitment is of this on a F22?

here this should cover almost any question you have There are tons of pictures showing the gap. I used the 3 series since it was several hundred less and a lot easier to find than the one for the 2 series
