How do you remove the B pillar on outside?

My B pillar is scratched beyond repair thanks to prior owner and I want to replace it. New part (51377453311) is only $40. How do I get the old piece off? Is it just glued?

See picture, thanks for any help you can provide! (not my car)

bump... no one knows? I feel like it just comes off with heat and force but would love to confirm that lol.

It should just be 3m tape
