Aluminum Street Shield Skid Plate

Turner must've recently came out with this skid plate that fits F2x/3x 2/3/4 Series. What do you guys think about adding it for extra protection under the car? Too much? Price is a little steep, but I think it might be good insurance from damaging components from road debris, etc. Appreciate any thoughts or experiences if you've had/have one.

Wonder if it does anything to improve air flow under the car.

It's definitely better protection but won't improve airflow much if at all.

Also it's for RWD cars only. FWIW

Looks like there is a door if you zoom in a bit, it's just hard to see since it's also black.

I've bought aluminum skid plates for two modern Volvos I've owned. The price is in line with what I paid in the late 90s and mid-00s. If this one is as thick as the ones I bought for the Volvos, it's definitely going to prevent road crap from breaking into your engine bay.

Is this it?

I have a Turner skid plate for my f80, but I haven't bought one for my m235. Skid plates are highly recommended for f80s because of the oil cooler placement.

My stock m235 under panel has seen better days. I will probably replace it with one of these down the road because why not.

I can't see how it would not improve airflow.

I am in the electric car field and this is the kind of thing people add to improve range.

I went to install the Turner skid plate and noticed the stock skid plate had two squares cut out close to the turbo and wasn't sure if they were there to help cool the turbo? The Turner version doesn't have those openings.

I noticed that in the pics and reached out to Turner. They basically told me it was on for 4cyl cars that supposedly don't have those turbo cooling holes.
