Moonroof headroom
Is there enough headroom in a 228i with the moonroof for a 6'-2" driver? Would hair touch the headliner? Would the seat have to be raked back a little?

Spacing is the same in the 228i and M235i. |

I'm 6' 3" and have moonroof. My driving position is seat all the way down and back. I have a good 4" above my head. I'm very comfortable in this car with moonroof.

Depends on your torso. I'm 6'4 but tall torso and have a hard time finding a car I fit in, especially with a helmet. Had to get one without a sunroof, which is surprisingly difficult these days. Never had issues with legs fitting though.

Most important thing is to have manual seats
I have found that power seats decrease headroom and legroom. I am 6'7". I fit great in a 228 with sunroof and manual seats. I don't fit AT ALL in a 235. Also, I think leather-ette is more compliant than leather. May add a bit more room.

I am 6'4 and had no issues with sunroof and I prefer a fairly upright seat back.
If you have a very long torso, like a very upright seating position, and a high seating position then you should test a car out a dealership, but at 6'2 you should have plenty of room even with a helmet.
