What types of music.....

......formats with the factory head unit play?

I know it will play mp3 files. But it won't play FLAC (free lossless audio codex).

Mine plays FLAC, and WAV. Those are the only two formats I use.

FLAC, WAV, MP3 work on mine, haven’t tried anything else.

Hmmm, I loaded the hard drive with some FLAC files and it doesn't see them. Ill try again.

I'm playing music from USB flash drives, one plugged in the USB port by the cupholders and one in the armrest. I'd assume it should work the same on the internal hard drive as well.

Well, after further investigation the head unit does play FLAC files!!
