We prefer to simply debadge. Much cleaner looking and takes about 1 minute.

Probably wouldn't look good painted black or black chrome due to the way the badge is designed and doesn't lend well to going all one color.

I plasti dipped the 228 badge on my car with some friends mainly as a joke because I wanted to order black badges anyway. Looks surprisingly good, you just have to do multiple coats and really take some time. Still plasti dip and black badges are not too expensive. I'll post pictures when I am out of class!

I think people here are overreacting over a blacked out badge lol.

Personally, I think a debadge looks better, but there's nothing wrong with trying some plasti dip. I mean you can take it off if you don't like it and it's not expensive.
