Will 225/40 front fit on the staggered rear wheel?
I need new tires for the M235 . I have the staggered setup with 225/40 Front and 245/35 Rear.
This is a daily driver for the wife, not a track car, so I wanted to get a good all season tire that can be rotated. Looking at the Michelin A/S 3+ and they are easier to find in the 225/40 size. It looks like I can install the front 225/40-18 front size on the wider rear wheel, but I wondered if this was a common setup for anyone?? Any issues? |

Your rear wheels will look very tucked. A 10-15mm+ spacer would be needed to get you near flush, and also that rear tire will look really stretched with that racerboy look. Find a second pair of 18x7.5 to run square on 225's. They're constantly available for sale here in the classifieds.

That is why I said "slightly stretched" (and as you implied that depends on the tire too as some run wider than others). 225mm = 8.8 inches so in theory wider than the rim
But boy racer stretched is a 195 on a 8 inch |
