Reverse nav zoom rotation?

Is there any way to reverse the direction we turn the control knob to zoom in/out on the map? I'm constantly turning the knob to the right to zoom in and forgetting that actually zooms it out. It seems counter-intuitive to me.

Is there a setting or coding for this?

I found the same issue. I had to force myself to think of it as a volume control, turn right to increase the map view ( turn up the sound) and turn CCW to decrease the map view i.e. zoom in. Still get it backwards occasionally. A very strange design convention.

Geez, I thought it was just me. I am CONSTANTLY turning the zoom the wrong way. Even if I consciously think about it, I sometimes do it wrong.

At this point, I'm just resigned to spinning it both ways every time and see which way it goes. <sigh>

I had a problem with it too. I think of it like this. The map screws down (out) to the right (CW) and up (closer) to the left (CCW).

It causes little problems now but I have to say I believe that an interface needs to be intuitive and it should adjust to you and you shouldn't have to adjust to it. And this is only one example of the BMW interface that needs tweeks. OTOH, driving my M235i makes it all worthwhile.
