Not a PITA at all. You just pop it out with a flat head screwdriver and unplug it

I will have to look at my car. I currently don't have lights on mine.....I guess they all come from factory wired for this addition? I dunno I will need to check it out more I guess

Can confirm they're easy to install and look cool - there are factory lights on the bottom of the doors, they're just regular yellow lights though.
