Torn between 2 configurations: EB/Black 6MT and MW/Terra 8AT

So I am about to order an M235i for ED/PCD and I am getting a great deal. The only problem is I don't know what I want!

I am really truly, honestly torn between 2 configurations; one sporty and one more sporty-luxurious.

I have aways wanted a blue car but always balked at the opportunity because the blue color available wasn't quite right. I love Estoril blue though. I just don't know if I would grow tired of if.

The mineral white is also a beautiful color. It's timeless and goes really well with the Terra leather which I love. And the mineral white with carbon fiber exterior bits is simply jaw dropping. Not to mention my girlfriend likes it a lot more than the blue (unfortunately).

Last three cars were black, grey, and grey. I need something new.

Someone tell me something to sway my decision one way or another please!

You need to take an 8AT M235i for a test drive. Put it in Sport mode, hit the gear lever over to the left, and start paddle shifting at 5-6K RPM. You might just fall in love with how glorious this transmission is.

Why not the EB with the Terra interior? I was definitely going that way until I decided I wanted the VO more than the EB. (Btw, my Terra interior looks great)

I have! the car I havent driven is the 6MT! I dont know what I would be missing out on...

I know. I keep looking at pictures of it but I just cant decide how it will look in real life. I just feel the Terra may be a little too orange/red than it is brown... see I am indecisive!

I would vote Eb/b 6MT.

That 6 speed is a joy to drive. Love that blue too.

I'm picking up a M235i xDrive in Munich in two weeks. EB w/terra. It's your choice man, you have to live with it. Remember you spend most of your time driving on the inside...

I was between Alpine White & Estoril.

My deciding factor was that white will always be around, and is available on basically any BMW model across the board. Estoril is rare and hasn't been available really since the e36 days, and who knows how long it'll stick around now for. Plus, it's the perfect shade of blue.

I was the same. I went with EB as I had just got a X3 in White and didn't want 2 white cars.

My previous e82 was Alpine White with the Performance stripes and carbon spoiler. I'd say if you want to add parts like the black grills and spoilers, it works better on white than blue.

Actually I wanted Valencia Orange, but not available, so it was either EB or Melbourne Red, but that's another point well beaten to death here.

Certainly go for some non black interior though.

How about EB/terra 6MT?? Great mix of sporty and luxury! Either way, I think the terra is the nicest interior color available on this car. Go with your gut!

The EB/BLK/6MT/LSD were expecting is my wife's. I had a hand in helping with the options, colors, etc. but at the end of the day, it was her and her's alone.

Oh yeah, it has the Premium and Tech too. That's also to her liking. Along with the black grill, CF rear spoiler and M-Performance skirts.

For me? It would have been an M2 or maybe even an M4 but the M235i is all her's. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I would go with the MW/terra, but that is just because the Estoril Blue is probably my least favorite BMW blue, I know I know this is BMWs color. A nice interlagos blue would have been an easy choice for me, but no luck. This car looks amazing in white, really shows the aggresiveness of the front fascia and all the lines. I had to do some accent wrapping on mine to show off the beauty of that front end. White on Brown is classic and you will definitely not get sick of it. Also this car is rare enough that you do not have to go with a wild color. Either way you can't go wrong.

Your girlfriend likes the white better? Problem solved! Get the blue. Show her who's boss and keep her out of you car so she doesn't curb the wheels or get it doored at the mall.

You could also get EB with Terra as a nod to each mood (sporty vs luxury). Make sure you stay with the 6MT no matter what.

If you choose a color you love you won't get tired of it. When I got my Spice Orange MINI three years ago people said I would get tired of the color quickly. Not only didn't that happen, I ordered my current car in VO.
