When I decided to order a new M235i to replace my 328i, my family and even my CA tried to convince me to get Melbourne Red or white because "I already had the blue". Well, F that! The color is my favorite thing about my 328i! I love it and it never gets lost in traffic. I can't wait to get my EB M235i! |

I know. I keep looking at pictures of it but I just cant decide how it will look in real life. I just feel the Terra may be a little too orange/red than it is brown... see I am indecisive![/QUOTE]
Trust me, you'll love it. I was nervous when I ordered too because I hadn't seen it in person. Ask any person that has gotten the Terra, and every one will tell you that it looks waaaaaay better in person than pictures and especially the BMW configurator. It is NOT orangey in any way. I had come from a Cashmere interior and I knew I didn't want to go black so this was a perfect compromise. Pictures don't do it justice, but I have posted some on here in the past if you want to try judging by a picture. (don't recall the thread though). In the end, you got to go with the colors you like, not what any of us tell you. If you're worried because you haven't seen it, don't be. On the other hand, if you're saying to yourself, there's no way I could be seen in a brown on black interior, then stay away from it. Your call. |

Thanks for the input guys! I think at this point I am leaning towards Estoril Blue over Terra Leather. That way I can get the best of both worlds. My girlfriend has a Deep Sea Blue over Beige X3 so it'll be pretty similar to hers but oh well.
I'm still out on the transmission. Both cars I've driven were the 8AT and it was quite impressive both times I've driven it. At least as good if not better than the dual clutch in my current vehicle. I do mostly highway driving so I suppose I have no excuse not to get the 6MT. If I lived in a city with less traffic I suppose it'd be an easier decision.

I think it is a valid point that the terra does not photograph so well. It definitely looks a lot more of a brown tone in real life.
