M240i rev matching
I just picked up my M240 last week and love it. I think the rev matching feature (6 speed manual) is pretty useful, too. However, sometimes it seems like it blips the throttle even when I throw it in neutral. For example, if I'm approaching a red light and don't want to downshift, I may just put it in neutral and brake. Upon going into neutral, it may blip the throttle. Is this normal? How does it know when to rev match?

It will actually blip the throttle if you get close to putting into a lower gear. It may think you're downshifting if you get close but don't actually shift from 3rd to 2nd for example; then end up in neutral. That's the only thing I can think of... it shouldn't blip if you go directly into neutral.

I noticed that as well, when I go into neutral it blips. Sounds pretty nice especially with sport mode on and it gets that nice pop. I was about to ask if that's suppose to happen as well since I don't think it is.
