With the pins out, I just grab the protruding part of the pads, "ears" and pull on them to compress the piston. Like any hydraulic system, it takes a bit of constant pressure while the fluid moves back into the master cylinder. Like compressing a syringe full of oil. They only have to move a few millimeters to create enough space to get the old pads out. If you are replacing fairly worn pads it will take longer to get the pistons all the way back to to get the new thick pads in. It really isn't very difficult. On old cars with crap on the pistons, I just used a open end wrench to lever the pistons back in place.

How is the braking power compared to stock pads?

I've only driven 45 mixed miles on my way to the airport today, but they felt pretty much exactly the same as stock. I haven't had a chance to properly bed them in though.

I installed mine today, very easy took a little over an hour. Initial braking power is actually better than stock, time only time will tell.

No I dont have any. They are one of the most expensive ones, but you can buy a good brake caliper spreaders for around $40.00-$50.00. I guess it depends on how many times your going to use them

yeah, after 100 miles, it feels like the initial bite is the same or stronger than the stock pads. Too soon to report on dust, but everything is still clean.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o03_s00 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o03_s00 Dust accumulation is about 80% better than stock and stopping power is same or better than stock. Probably the best $100 upgrade thus far.

I'm really hating the dust on mine. I live in an apartment so its not terribly easy for me to clean that dust off every few days. I may end up replacing the pads. Is there some reason you cant just compress the pistons on a 2 series w/ a c-clamp like on every other vehicle I've owned?
