I have a non-nav 2014 M235i that has HU_Entry which means I cannot simply replace the screen, do some coding, and have a nicer display. What are my options? I have only come across a couple options:

1 - swap out all the parts like this guy http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=914613 Seems to be an expensive option.

2 - Do some kind of Android based screen like this http://www.dvdgpsnav.com/10-25-inch-...it-system.html I've seen a few videos for these, but all seem to be in southeast Asia and I'm not sure how legitimate that are or if they'd even work for HU_entry without other modifications.

Any other ideas? GPS isn't a huge deal to me as I use my phone in a dash cradle for that. I'd really like a larger clearer screen.

I went with an AVIN unit and have been very happy. I have the CarPlay adapter that I run. The 10.5" screen is awesome. I started with the 4.0 unit and it worked well. I upgraded to the 7.0 unit so I could have my BM3 live data up. It worked great but then something happened with one of the updates. I sent it back and they replaced it with a new unit. I had since put the 4.0 unit back in and never got around to putting the 7.0 back in. I still have the 7.0 unit sealed in the box if you're interested, I need to put it up in the classifieds.
