Hello Ligament,

The ECU is located underneath the intake manifold. You must remove the manifold to gain access to the ECU.

Although the M3/M4 S55 engine shares similarities, there are many different steps on the N55. I am using this document as a reference, not a removal guide. We are currently working on a N55 ECU removal.

Not sure I can compete with Luminous' times as I have a RWD 6 spd., but I will post a video as soon as possible.

I have plans to go stage 2 pure turbo systems this winter. Are you going to have support equal to or better than BMS for engine management?

XDrive Stresses

Hey Enzo;

How overbuilt are the XDrive components? As in, do we have absolute confidence that they're up to the task of handling the excess power? Would your warranty help with drivetrain issues if BMW refuses to?

Thanks!

We can develop a custom tune for any application, especially pure stage 2.

With a true ECU tune, any engine parameter can be customized. Too many to list.

We have numerous customers with M models logging over 10,000 miles with zero issues and consistent power delivery.

We also have some happy M235i customers on this thread, so i would say pretty reliable.

Just hit 5000 miles on this tune last night, and I've been pushing the car hard. No issues. Considering I had more drive train malfunctions with the Dinan I'd say this tune is very reliable.

How would your tune compare to the GSR ECU flash tune?

http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1137605

In other words, why choose Enzo? Thanks.

Gonna be hard for Enzo to compare THEIR tune to GSR's tune. The only thing Enzo probably will provide, is what THEIR tune consists of etc......

While on this topic.....

Enzo, do you guys physically "open" the ecu to reprogram, or connect using plug/port ?

From what I understand they physically open it. That being said, I had the opportunity to inspect the ecu before re installation and was happy to see it looked untouched, no scratches, pry marks or any signs of tampering.

For starters yes we are actually "tuning" our ECU's

GSR is using a Dynojet dyno which reads higher than our Mainline dyno, the delta gains on the Enzo tune are greater.

Although we are huge BMW fans, Enzo can tune pretty much anything including this beauty that just arrived from Michigan to get a custom Enzo tune

Info@EnzoPerformance , I think I will get a "we cannot do anything about your situation" but anyway, I'll shoot the question:

I don't live in the US, I live in Guatemala (Central America). Any suggestions for me to get your tune on my ECU?

I currently have these mods on my M235i (326hp):

ER catted Downpipe
ER Charge pipe (from engine to intercooler)
Wagner Performance Intercooler
BMC Airfilter
aFe Scoop
M Performance Exhaust

Any estimates on what numbers (hp & tq) would I get (since my car has a little bit more of both than the US spec and due to my current mods)

Thanks for the reply I would love to get your tune.

A jb4 does nothing to manage your engine. It only tricks the dme to control boost and fuel, that's it. That's why you will have to put a resistor to ground on the tmap to artificially raise IAT's so the dme will lower timing with a pure stage 2. It's all a bunch of tricks and games you're playing

I have this tune and I ran a jb4. I actually spoke to them about a stage 2 pure and I plan on getting it. A custom tune will be required but def possible

N55 removal "guide". I can remove my ECU in less than 30minutes (unfortunately had to do it more than once).

Could someone do a WOT log from 2000-7000rpm in 4th gear with DTC off? I am very interested in seeing psi values and ignition timing.

Below an example using a Bluetooth OBDII and the Torque app

of course we do offer just a tune without the downpipe.
Can you provide the dyno charts for your tune with and withOUT the catless downpipes?

If your tune is used on a car without catless downpipes, is a different tune required, or do you use the same tune for both catted and catless vehicles?

We experienced an 18-20 wheel hp gain on our Mainline Dyno with catless downpipe.

Yes, the catless tune does feature some modifications to the calibration. Although running a catless tune on a catted vehicle will NOT cause any issues.
