I am going to be replacing my front and rear rotors and pads on my 2018 M240i very soon. Had a question regarding the reuse of the caliper carrier bolts for the front and rear.

The front caliper carrier bolts have a torque setting of 110Nm (81 ft-lbs). I am assuming they can be reused since they are simply torque to spec?

The rear caliper carrier bolt have a torque setting of 30Nm (22 ft-lbs) + 90deg. I am assuming they can also be reused since they are Torque + Angle spec and not Torque + Angle-to-Yield?

Can these caliper carrier bolts on my 2018 M240i be reused?

Part numbers based on realoem lookup:
Front Caliper Bolt: 34106864424
Rear Caliper Bolt: 34206850536

Any feedback or assistance would be appreciated.

Reuse them. Not a problem. If you have concerns, the bolts must be pretty cheap. Your call and good luck.

The rear caliper bolts have threadlocker on them. I assume this is to help the bolt stay in place and help with vibration?

I think I am going to go with just replacing the rear but reuse the front caliper bolts.

Thread lock on the front would be more logical to my small brain. Why not both? Not rusted and you can torque them to proper nm I would reuse. Put your own thread lock on them.

Thanks for the info appreciate it.

The rear caliper bolts are set to 30Nm plus 90 deg I’m looking at using an angle gauge or torque wrench with angle.

Are you guys torquing them to 30Nm and a 1/4 then or using a tool for the 90 degree turn?

Gud n Tight...

That is all! What's all this talk about Torque? Lol

And I can't tell you how many brake jobs I've done on my cars, and NEVER ever, replaced those caliper bolts. If you want, use Blue Thread Lock, but that's about it. Honestly...

Good Luck
