Great NEWS! Intake
In the throws of R&R a lot of parts:
OFH Gasket Oil Cooler Gasket Thermostat Water Pump Overflow Reservoir Main Coolant Hose between Reservoir - Thermostat & WP Serp Belt Idler Pully Tensioner Pulley When I pulled back the intake, had a chance to peak at the intake valves & WOW! at 68K miles they look clean (the walls looks oily) but no gunk on the valve tulips themselves. Big difference from my N54. One less thing to do. Will wait until 100Kish to look again. Oh & yes the gaskets looked bad & were leaking (photos) |

BMW...despite my commitment to the brand and the enjoyment I've derived while owning them for most of the last 42 years, there are times I just shake my head in wonder. And also wonder just how much more it would cost BMW to provide us with higher-quality bits & pieces.
