I'll keep you posted... this year it makes little sense to spend the cash since the season is midway. I'm thinking possibly next year winter when I wont mind dropping the car off for week+ to get this done.

I need to nail 3rd and 4th quarter (sales) to treat myself to this kit

I'm very interested to see how this all turns out. I wish I could join in on a potential group buy but the wallet is saying no at this time.

How set are you on doing this?
What was the price from Manhart?

Are you getting the entire kit? I just spoke to someone and they informed me that the race kit is 32pieces and that includes modifications/functionalitiy for actual racing (roll cage, lifting kit for quick tire changes, etc.). I explained to them that I will not be racing the car and I've asked for them to break up the kit for me if possible.

Let me know what you find out.

No I will not be getting the entire package. The complete R package is actually 39 pieces and costs just shy of 19k. Which is a deal for a factory race kit, but more then I need at this time. I am trying to find out if I can get just parts out of the kit, as opposed to the whole bundle. If you did the whole kit it would be a track monster and still street legal, which is tempting.

Sounds like we are asking for a similar setup. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything (waiting on an email from with pricing).

Here are the 12 pieces you need to complete the body work, 8 grand and change.

They left it up to me to buy the wheel housing... I was told that the kit can be put on without them. I haven't seen the other kits offering these parts.

Well that would save you 2 grand. I wonder how the fit and finish is without the liners?

They explained that the car would have an exposed chassis but that you wouldn't "really" be able to see that unless someone looked for it. She also explained that rocks/debris may cause a little noise inside the cabin. From a cosmetic perspective I do not see it affecting the fit and finish.

After she brought this up it got me thinking of the other kits and whether this would be the case for any widebody kit.

And how are your plans to get fuel in the car when mounting the oem kit?

A forum member has already done this.

Just needs cutting/moulding to expose the OEM gas cap cover.

Hello, as a matter of fact, the picture shows one of our kits. We sold it to a customer in Poland.
How the pictures ended up on a webshop in Romania and what exactly it is they are offering in terms of quality is rather questionable.

We produce our parts locally in the same town our HQ is in to very high standards. It is a clear homage to the original WBK, but adresses some cosmetic flaws of the original one (side skirts, gas cap, wheel arches ending mid-air).

Also someone mentioned a group buy for our kit. We are absolutely open to offer this if there is enough demand.

Has anyone installed one of these?

I am looking for something subtle similar to the BMW factory kit or an M2 look. The M2 is not an option for me since I want AWD and a nicer interior.

Road legality is not an issue either, what makes the BMW kit non-road legal? Gas filler or removing some of the impact pieces? Require disabling the air bags?
