So this problem has been going on for a while now, it comes and goes actually. When I start up my car, the bluetooth usually starts up right away and connects to my phone(galaxy s6 and i use spotify). But sometimes, it just straight up doesn't connect. To make it worse, it connects but nothing is playing(even tho it says connected to my phone and in the iDrive). I also have some trouble when it does connect and works fine, BUT then go bipolar and disconnects while playing my music... and to make it worse, it lags sometimes(not as often as the other problems). it plays like 5 seconds of the song then lags then goes on.
My only fix so far is manually turning Bluetooth on/off on my phone and connecting using the car. takes a few tries sometimes but it goes away .

Does anybody know a permanent fix to this? I don't think its my phone since I hard reset it.

Have you tried any other Bluetooth devices (another phone or Bluetooth MP3player) to see if the problem continues?

Yeah, My buddy has a S6+ also. It's happened too. But again, it comes and goes.

You've probably already checked this, but just in case ha e you checked the bmw update site to see if your vehicle has an update available?

I have the 6 Edge + and have not encountered in any of my BMW'S.
