Bought it out - yayy no more car payments. And then succumbed to the mod bug again - ordered an Active Autowerke catted downpipe. Definitely the last mod for a long time.

I finally put the Weather tech floor mats in the car! Easy install, looks like they'll be easy to clean. I washed the old floor mats and stuck them in a closet for safekeeping.

Took advantage of some rare 60 degree winter weather in Maryland and gave the car a proper bath. Applied a fresh layer of CarPro Reload and also decided to give WoWo's Showstopper a try. Having a black car in winter is too depressing, but at least I will be able to enjoy it for a few days.

Did the same on this side of the river, washing the F22 & E39 again this weekend after the snow/slop midweek. There's a chance for bad weather Fri night/Sat - let's hope for no polar vortex temps for weeks on end!
Have not tried any Wowo products - will look into them.

What material did you use, and did you do it yourself or have a shop do it? What was the cost? I'm looking to have the same thing done to mine as soon as the weather thaws out a bit.

You're not that far away. Here is who did the job.You can call and ask them about materials, but the cost was $350...meticulous handwork in small spaces...took from 10AM to 4PM to get it perfect. Totally pleased. Ask for Chad.

That's funny...when I saw your profile with Snowbird, USA I thought you meant Florida! I visit Vegas a few times a year. Do you have any interest in the Speedventurs / Bimmer Challenge trackday at LVMS on April 18th? I'm thinking about loading the semi-slicks into the car and having my first go at an HPDE.

Great look, and one I've considered getting done myself. What did they do for that overlap seam (above the door handle/back edge of window)? Do they just cover over it? Does it look as good close up or can you see that it is covering a gap?

Finally got the LSD installed. Haven’t gotten on the gas too hard since I want to give it some time to break in, but the back end does seem to pull itself back in line with the front tires a bit more noticeably. Haven’t broken traction at all yet, either. Give me a couple weeks, and I’ll chime back in with an update.

It looks like winter may finally be arriving, so I changed the battery charger's mode from the Normal Battery Program to the Cold Weather Program. The changeover temperature for that is 41° F.

today i spent $400 to have BimmerTech remote in to my car so they could fix the broken navigation that happened because my car was updated by the dealership at a recent servicing.

so i advise that people uninstall their $35 ebay CarPlay hacks before going in for service.

the servicing removed the CarPlay hack and also broke the navigation because of the way the system was hacked. shame on me. and a little shame on BMW for not letting me buy it for my car. they could have had the $435 instead.

BimmerTech did their magic as expected, no complaints there. because of the cost, i consulted several other services and every other one said they didn't have a fix for the F series yet. so kudos to BimmerTech.

At the moment - planning to keep them in case I part out and sell the car at some point.
