Do you have a shot of what the other side the mirrors look like? I'm wanting to possibly get these, but is there like a big weird looking gap above the glass for the "m" portion of the mirror caps? Or is that filled in somehow? If that makes sense... Wondering what the mirrors looks like from the drivers seat essentially.

Edit: Also, do they still fold up without any interferences?
It's filled in and no issues folding. You have at least half an inch at any point during the fold, if not more.

I finally got around to fitting the m235i exhaust that I purchased from another forum member, along with the M Performance diffuser and some new tips, on my 228i. I definitely prefer the look and sound to stock. Now I’m just debating if I have the tips out a bit far. What do you think?

I'm actually interested in doing something similar to my 230i. Did you have any difficulty matching the 235i's exhaust up with your stock midpipe?

The mid pipe and muffler lined up fine. But the distance from the outside of each hanger on the 235 muffler was about 1/2 to 3/4 inch less than on the 228 muffler. So we needed to weld a short rod onto the brackets to get everything to line up right. I went out and got under the car to take a couple of pictures. They’re not the best, but might give you a better idea of what I’m talking about.

they turned on the sprinklers at the coffee shop, blurching out horrible water that will surely kill the grass and certainly put water spots on my car so i gave it a quick wash when i got home. nearly died of heat stroke.

M Performance Carbon Fiber Spoiler!

Installed the M Performance carbon spoiler this morning. Man, getting the glue off from the OEM spoiler was a pain -- I have the blisters to prove it. Thank god for 3M adhesive remover.

Looks great...CF works so well with the "colder" colors, such as your Estoril I installed the same piece on mine but did bodycolor. On behalf of the guy behind you at 100kph, hope you also used urethane for the installation instead of relying on the less reliable tape!

Hmm... is the tape known to be less reliable? It's an OEM BMW part that came with the tape installed, so I figure they wouldn't sell it this way if their engineers didn't have confidence in the tape. Also appeared to be the same tape holding the body colour spoiler in place that was already on the car... So, I'm hoping it holds! Certainly don't want it taking flight behind me, but it's too late now!

Check it periodically...more work well than not, but too many reports of coming loose as adhesive tapes are sensitive to variations during installation in surface temperature, ambient temperature, amount of pressure during curing, duration of pressure. Here is the alternative next time, or if you find yours starts to seem loose at all.

Mine has been on for 2 years strong. Only issues is the very ends come up a tiny bit, but that’s kind of expected as the trunk is slightly curved and a straight CF spoiler doesn’t like to bend to easily after curing.

Car looks outstanding.....only really annoying part is how well your supplies area is organized!! I probably have to go back out to the garage now!
