Doing flush/fill service and coolant pressure test with missing hose?
I brought my m235 into the shop today as the radiator vent hose broke and emptied my coolant system.
The tech said they were doing a pressure test, and also going to flush and fill the system. However, they said the new hose isn't arriving until 2 and that the work would be done around 3, and that they did the testing this morning. I am worried they are trying to rook me, since I don't think they could have done the pressure test without replacing the vent hose. Is it possible to run a pressure test on a cooling system that has a gaping hole in it? Seems like that would be pretty pointless. |

Yes, you can cap both ends of that connection easily. Many techs accumulate little rubber plugs and caps, and a small hose clamp can hold them on for the test
