Dragy mount hack

Our cars don't have a lot of great mounting points for the Dragy. Also, the materials used on the dash and surrounding trim don't seem to work well with the adhesive on the back of the magnetic plates. I've found that two hockey pucks glued together make a perfect mount for your cup holder. It's easy to remove and you don't have to stick anything on your car. Hockey pucks can be had for a couple of bucks.

Just thought I would share, in case anyone else was struggling to find a good spot.

Good work! I also think it is a slow day in 2-SeriesVille

I removed the rear cup holder and stuck the dragy in there with 3M Velcro. Super effective. No wires in view either. I fucking hate wires. Precisely the reason I don't use vent mounted phone holders.

An unrelated question, but how do you mount your phone?

I took the supplied metal mounting plate and slid one side under the center speaker grill. This provides more than enough tension to keep the plate with the dragy in place, without having to use adhesive.

No. Shoving metal plates up a speaker's butt is not cool yo.

I don't think it would support my weight.

Obviously you aren't determined enough. Where there is a will, there is a... mounting.

If only I knew what a Dragy was, I might be in a position to wonder what might tempt me to mount it.

Dude it has "drag" in the name, can't be that hard to imagine if you want to mount it or not.

I leave my phone in the center console. I hate wires too! I'm not a fan of having the dragy tucked under the center speaker. It potentially becomes a free-floating object at head height in the event of being hit.

Of course. I reach for my neck every single time I see those idiots with license plate on their dash. What idiocy!

For those of you who prefer no wires running all over the car, I have discovered that the Dragy hub will work perfectly inside the center console. I actually have it mounted on its side, with the magnet base sticky mounted to the inside edge of the console next to the AUX and USB ports. I run a short USB cable from the rear outlet, just like all of my charger cables. Have not had any GPS connection issues at all.
