VRSF FMIC and Chargepipe install

Hey guys I was looking at getting a local shop to install a few parts for me. When I inquired they said that in order to install the fmic and charge pipe they'd need to do some cutting and trimming for radiator support and ducting on the bumper. Is this normal? From what I've seen on tutorials posted online these parts should fit with the OEM parts nicely. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

My 5in Vrsf fmic didn't require any trimming, it's a tight fit but moving around the Fan gives you enough room to squeeze it in there. Guessing you have the larger one maybe?

Nope I got the 5" one. Not too sure why he's suggesting to cut, maybe he's just inexperienced?

I know we have pretty small snails but did you notice any additional boost lag with the larger IC?

5' HD I/C

I have the 5" HD VRSF I/C - Currently without a tune and YES there is a small increase in Lag .

I expect once I get BM3 it will help .

VRSF CP + IC & Soon BM3 Stage 0+

No Cutting required on the I/C install - Perfect Fit at a great price.

I had my bm3 tune as well so overall I would say I didn't notice lag , fmic is more of supporting mod towards stage 2 anyways.

There shouldn’t be any increase in lag or response. I would suggest logging and also looking to make sure there are no leaks.

Lag should be negligible with a tune.
