X Drive?

I'm returning to the forum after a couple of years away. I owned a 2016 X5, but sold it in 2018. I'm pondering a 2014 F22 and am wondering when X Drive came to the two series. Thanks.

Yep, mine is xdrive and I enjoy it, really helps manage the power.

I grew sick and tired of it, the car is just so heavy to begin with and it adds more weight. If I had to do it again, I would probably but RWD not AWD. The car is just so heavy you kill yourself adding power and beefing up suspension to make up for it...

I re-flashed my car to be RWD for a variety of reasons you may take interest in:
-400+ hp stage 2 allows the car to drift/powerslide/burnout in RWD mode
-Car gets additional 4mpg with the AWD system turned off
-The car steers better with all the engines torque being routed only to the rear axle
-You can flash it back over to AWD anytime you want during the winter

Basically I have learned the hard way a true sports car needs a few key ingredients:
-Rear wheel drive
-True LSD for that rear wheel drive
-Manageable Traction and/or Stability Control Software
-300+ wheel horsepower
-3000 pounds or less
