Yes, my driver side rear is definitely way off for some reason... I might pittle around a little but other than that no heavy driving thats for sure. Ill give it a little time to settle but need one fairly soon.. The rear wheels are lined up very nicely with the rear fenders. Love the stance and the 255's are considerabley wider... Cant wait to give her the beans..

Thnx Jm, i kind of left them on for the time being.. I like the blue accent for some dumb reason... Are you still planning on lowering with Dinan's..?

Eventually. Still in the process of selling oem wheels to buy new rubber.... Then I will get 235s and 265s and see if they fit. Then I will go with Enzo tune and ATM intercooler... then finally I want to do Dinan springs and camber plates.

Realistically not till the middle or end of summer. By then I hope there is a little more info/reviews on the camber plates.

Also do you or does anyone here know the size of the HRE cap, and if BMW has a cap in the same size?

moldcad has a point. My APEX wheels came unpainted in the lug recess. Their website even states:

Lug recesses are unpainted

• Lug recesses are never painted, preventing wheel bolts or lug nuts from loosening
• Mounting wheel's does not damage the wheel's finish

I don't know HRE's practices, but it is done on purpose by some manufacturers. Although in your case there is clearly a problem with either one wheel or three wheels.

That could be but this is not consistent with the other 3 wheels. You may be right about the contact surface of the wheel being paint free but for the canals to be painted perfectly on 3 wheels and one to look incomplete leaves me to believe it was an error. Its not that obvious but just expected more i guess from a higher end wheel. At any rate they do look awesome. I drove the car a liitle more today and it feels planted with the Dinan springs and low pro's. Ride quality doesnt seem much different TBH..

Any rubbing with the dinan drop? Are you planning on doing lca or camber plates? So did you end up going 235/255 or 225/255?

I thought about doing LCA's but decided against it for now. No rubbing with the Dinans and love the feel.. Car feels light on its feet and planted. Much like the first time i drove an evo x. For some reason thats the car that stands out to me. No real loss of comfort either. (In comfort mode) No bouncing, in sport more aggressive for sure.. I ended up with 255 30 19's PSS and s 235 30 19 PSS. I bought the 235 30 19 due to it being discontinued and it was $85 cheaper per tire..

235/265 no rubbing and no modifications needed. Front is off the shock by about the thickens of my licence at full lock. Back has plenty of inside clearance.

I think it may even be possible to fit 275s with this offset.
however you'd have to go up a rim size and then adjust the offset accordingly.

Overall I am very happy with the fitment. All of my friends love it! I think I will space the fronts out 3mm when i get a chance though.

That's right. It seems like there is roughly an inch between wheel and shock and inside fender. Leads me to think that with a higher offset and a 9.5" rim you could fit a 275.

I think the perfect offset for 265s with 9" wheel would be 50. Wouldn't poke as much and youd still have clearance.

I have a square 17x8 et42 on 245 all around... and it's pretty close to the strut but no rubbing

so on 18x8 et 40 you should have even more room against the strut and also the bigger wheel diameter and shock angle should give you even some more room to fit a 245 i would think

I'd love to fit a 245 up front. Maybe next time around I will go for that. I do think that I will need a 5mm spacer.

Here are pics I just took. Flushness is shown with wheels straight obviously. For the shock pictures I had wheels at full lock and stuck my smartphone in there.

In a couple pictures you can see i wedged 2 credit cards in the gap. My dialed caliper tells me they were 2.04 mm in thickness combined

If I bumped it out 5 mm and I up the tire size by 10, then in theory I should still have my 2.04mm of clearance.

I don't think 5 more mm of poke would be too much either. I am not sure if Michelin would recommend a 245 on an 8" rim though?

Messing with ride height, camber and fender rolling I'm sure will all be key components.

5mm spacer with 10mm wider tire should give you exactly same gap as you have now

Well the rear stock is an 8" wheel with 245
