WiFi Hotspot

One of the packages I added to my 230i order was ZTV Smartphone Connectivity Package. I wanted CarPlay. It also includes 6WD WiFi Hotspot. Does anyone know the details on this? I assume it uses BMW's SIM card connection (3G or LTE?) for Internet connection but I also assume that we don't get a perpetual and unlimited data plan (maybe they restrict data by ensuring a slow connection) with our cars. Anyone know what the deal is (particularly what the deal is in Canada)?

At the end of this video, it says “a 3-GB or 3-month trial is included with the Wifi passcode.” After that, I guess there's a fee. See also here. Not sure what our subscription options will be here in Canada.
