exhaust flap

I was wondering how the exhaust flap works? I have noticed that when I have it on sport mode the flap opens when I accelerate and then closes when I let off the gas. is this normal? I'm on stage 2 with a burble tune and I hear the pops on one side of the exhaust. it also seems like the flap closes after 20 mph

I know this may be a bit off topic but have you ever considered a JB4? It allows you to control the flap manually. It's typically on in Sport mode and off in Comfort, although if you're having trouble with it, it would help. If that's too expensive, I'm pretty sure REMUS has a controller for it as well. And to answer your question, it's unusual although the exhaust flap seems to be a bit unpredictable due to temperature requirements and it requires that you be in Sport or Sport+.

Just turn the flap to always open with whatever you're tuning with. Or simply unplug it when it's open.

And when the 'fixing bow' (fancy paper clip) that connects the actuator to the flap breaks, as mine just did, then the flap gets to choose on its own. It chooses to rattle.

bootmod3 also has exhaust flap manual settings.
