Holy moly!!! Look like those of us in Charlotte got off lucky and missed the worst of it. Sounds like SC is getting nailed.

I'm in NW Columbia and thankfully our home is ok. Had an extensive french drain put in a couple of years ago and it's definitely paying off now. No standing water at all. However the folks more downtown and east of Columbia are taking it on the chin. Many houses and businesses underwater.
Like everyone else in the country, I've seen videos of this happening in the midwest for years and never thought I'd ever see anything like that where I lived. It's very shocking to see first hand.

I live in the NE just south of Sand Hills. I was living in Louisiana during Katrina and when Rita hit my house there. Where I live and being prepared is something I am always thinking of.
The gutters I put on my house are well worth the money spent. It's going to take a while before roads and businesses are moving again. Most of the city is under water. Today I'm thankful for power and wifi.
