Has anyone recharged A/C Coolant on their B58?
Hey guys,
Ac stopped blowing cold just in time for the warm weather. Not sure of the issue. I’ve read that you can recharge the system and that it’s DIYable, has anyone done before? Also, I think the low pressure ac port is on the drivers side closer to the front of the car, can anyone confirm? Lastly…have been having like a weird idle. Car will be 600rpm and surge up to 700 or so for 10-20 secs, then rev back down to 600. Not super violent, but makes me feel uneasy. Could this be related? Thank you |

It could be that the refrigerant has leaked out. But, the first step is o scan the automatic climate control module (IHKA in BMWspeak) for codes. You need an app like bimmerlink to scan the IHKA.

Check intercooler coolant level as this will cause hot air.
